About the Course
Julia Morgan, America's first independent woman architect, completed 200 more buildings than Frank Lloyd Wright. Her ground-breaking career and nature-based architecture have inspired generations of designers. This course will cover many of her most interesting buildings, including Hearst Castle and Bay Area homes and public sites. Includes a walking tour of some of her Berkeley buildings as well as by her mentor Bernard Maybeck. Instructor is the author of the book "Julia Morgan: Architect of Beauty".
