We are proud to offer classes for adult with disabilities. These programs aim to enhance the life opportunities and choices of adults with developmental disabilities. It focuses on fostering independence, personal fulfillment, and reaching the maximum potential of each individual. The emphasis is on life skills training, promoting greater independence and a less restrictive lifestyle. Instruction is tailored to individual needs, competency-based, age-appropriate, and takes place in the natural community environment.

OUR CLASSES & FACILITIES
Alzheimer Respite - El Cerrito Community Center, 7007 Moeser Lane, El Cerrito, (510) 559-7000
A one day respite designed to help people with dementia stay at the highest function level possible. Activities consist of art, puzzles, memory quizzes, exercise, lunch, live music and a visit from a therapy dog.

NIAD Art Center is a gallery and art studio that supports more than 70 artists with disabilities in our virtual studio and 23rd Street space. Each work created at NIAD is an original piece of contemporary art that tells an individual story from the perspective of an artist with disabilities. In our Studios and Galleries, NIAD artists develop a sense of pride in their artistic abilities, connect with each other and with NIAD's community of supporters, and earn an income from the sale of their work.
