Electrical Controls

This course will train you how to understand, troubleshoot and repair electrical control systems.

Students will learn how to:

• Read, design, and test electrical schematics and ladder diagrams.

• Understand motor control, relay logic, circuit protection, transformers, generators, power distribution, building automation networks (BACNET) and basic PLC (Programmable logic controllers)

• Read symbols related to control drawings.

  
  

This is a hands-on training class. Students will be working with AC and DC power sources (single Phase and three phase). Electrical testing meters and tools are provided by the school.

*Safety will be discussed at our first meeting.
