Scrappy Quilt

Price

$109

Duration

8 Weeks

Course Description

If you have basic machine sewing skills you can quilt! We, and maybe you, have tons of scraps on hand and you can bring more. We will play with three different scrappy quilt methods to make small, with an emphasis on small (layout space in our room is limited), quilts from beginning to binding. So, whether you want to make something completely random or something with a regular block design, as long as you are willing to use scraps, this is for you! We will use straight machine stitching; quarter-inch seams are still a must. Learn or enhance skills using cutting mats, rotary cutters, and the even-feed (walking) foot. Throughout the class we will explore the place of quilts in the social fabric of various times and discover local resources. Our class is intended for all levels of sewing skills. Beginning sewists are welcome if willing to progress more slowly, creating smaller quilted pieces. We will get everyone onboard for this fun class.
