Course Description
This is a new BASIC class designed for former students or individuals who already possess basic sewing skills. Subjects to be covered include diagnosing textile repair problems and exploring creative ideas to address sewing project needs and hopes. Possibilities include hemming, taking in, letting out, refreshing worn-out elastic, adding pockets, darts, or tucks, mending tears, and patching—the opportunity to complete repairs in a collegial setting with a teacher.
Please bring one or two small repair projects to the first class meeting along with your own sewing kit and thread. Machines, plus a variety of supplies and tools will be available in class. Three class meetings; 2 hours and 45 minutes long. Class size is limited to 8 participants.
