Your Instructor: Mary Henderson Byias
Mary, a proud native of Richmond, California, embarked on her educational journey at Contra Costa College, furthering her studies at Hayward-Fairmont School of Nursing and Bellevue University with a focus on Public Health. With a career marked by dedication and expertise, Mary is an approved instructor by the California Board of Vocational Nursing & Psychiatric Technicians. She has taught vocational nursing programs across the Bay Area and has served as a Clinical Coordinator. Additionally, Mary has held the role of lead instructor for Medical and Nursing Assistants programs.
Her extensive experience includes roles as Director of Staff Development and as an educator for nursing assistants in long-term care facilities. Mary’s passion for nurturing others extends beyond the classroom; she has been a foster parent for girls and now serves as a health and wellness coach, guiding women in her community toward better health and wellness.
Mary founded Healthcare Career Success to support students aspiring to enter the healthcare industry. She is also an accomplished author, having penned "Unleashing Your Healing Potential" and co-authored "Unleashing The Power of Her." Balancing her professional achievements, Mary is a devoted mother of four and grandmother to two grandsons. In her leisure time, she enjoys being with her family, playing the keyboard with her son, and tending to her garden.
