About the Course

Ba Duan Jin, or the Eight Brocades, is an easy form of Qigong to learn. 

The combination of movement and breath has been practiced for over 2,000 years and is the beginning form taught at the Shaolin Temple in China. Anyone can do this form, even doing it from a chair if needed. Sitting meditation will also be part of the class, as well as a brief set of warm up movements..

Miner, Jerolyn

Jerri Miner is an experienced educator and wellness instructor. After serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in Thailand, she taught Adapted Physical Education for 25 years in Richmond Schools and 10 years at Solano College, earning California Community College Teacher of the Year honors. For over 23 years, she has taught Qigong, stretching, and Mandala drawing, and currently teaches at Wen Wu School of Martial Arts and the Richmond Senior Center, sharing the benefits of movement and well-being with her students.
