About the Course
This course is for those who would like a creative space and break from the hustle and bustle of life. The art class is open to all: from beginners to seasoned artists. Its main focus is to create a space for conscious meditation and wellness while creating art. It starts with a five minute mindfulness music meditation. Guided direction provides support, techniques, and skills as the artist creates their masterpiece using mixed media in paints, pencils, pastels, or watercolor etc. The art created during this zen consciousness is released from the subconscious, creating a celestial and sublime work of art

Shari Anokye
Shari Anokye was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. In the 1990s, she moved to California with her family. While teaching, she earned a BA in Humanities and an MA in Leadership, gaining extensive education and experience in maturation development. Shari also has experience working with autistic students in visual and performing arts.
Driven by a desire to provide adults with a space to let go of responsibilities and stresses, Shari created a unique opportunity for creative exploration. Her classes utilize positive energy sound wave music to alter stressful energy into positive energy through the subconscious mind, fostering peace and allowing the imagination to flourish.
Shari welcomes participants to share their talents using their desired medium or exploring new ones, whether it be drawing, painting, sketching, sculpting, writing, or more. Her classes are designed for beginners to advanced adult artists eager to let go and engage in creative participation from a place of peace. Shari looks forward to teaching in an environment that nurtures the exploration of subconscious mind art.
